Hi, I’m Jess. I was born in New Zealand and have called central Italy home since 2005.

As an accredited journalist with a long‑standing fascination for a good story, this project is both research and personal pilgrimage.

After more than a decade leading women’s horseback expeditions through hidden corners of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio, I’ve come to see Italy as a place best experienced in motion.
